Planning Lawyer (Locum)
Fully Remote | £60+ per hour D.O.E | 3-6 Month Contract

Our Local Authority client is seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to join its legal team on a locum basis for an initial 3-6 month assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied and interesting planning caseload within a supportive team environment, with strong paralegal support and no requirement to attend planning committee meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert legal advice on a broad range of planning matters
  • Drafting, negotiating and completing Section 106 Agreements
  • Advising on and drafting Section 278 Highways Agreements
  • Providing advice on Lawful Development Certificates
  • Managing planning enforcement matters
  • Handling a diverse caseload including:
    • Minerals and waste matters
    • Phosphate-related issues
    • Quarry developments
    • General planning and development work

Candidate Requirements:
