We are currently recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join a well-regarded local authority on a 3-6 month basis with likelihood of extension!

The successful Childcare Lawyer will manage a varied caseload of public law children matters, including care proceedings and pre-proceedings work.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a full caseload of childcare matters
• Providing legal advice on all aspects of public law children's work
• Drafting legal documentation, including statements and threshold documents

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Demonstrable Childcare experience.
• Previous experience in Local Authority or the wider public sector is desirable.
• Available to start at short notice is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be available to join the authority offering fulltime hours on a remote basis. Some adhoc attendance in the office for team away days would be welcomed although not essential.
