Summary: The role of Locum Litigation and Licensing Lawyer involves providing expert legal advice on civil and criminal litigation as well as licensing matters for a local authority in South East England. Key Responsibilities:
- Possess expert knowledge of law and legislation relating to civil and criminal litigation.
- Provide advice on litigious matters surrounding tenancy fraud.
- Offer legal advice on licensing matters, including gambling.
- Work with appeals in courts on licensing matters.
- Advise on all areas of private sector housing, particularly the Housing Act 2004.
- Advocate effectively on behalf of the Council before courts, tribunals, and other bodies.
Key Skills:
- Valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX.
- Specialism within civil and criminal litigation.
- Experience working within local authorities or public sector organizations.
- Strong understanding of the Housing Act 2004.
- Effective advocacy skills.
