Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess expert knowledge of law and legislation relating to civil and criminal litigation.
  • Provide advice on litigious matters surrounding tenancy fraud.
  • Offer legal advice on licensing matters, including gambling.
  • Work with appeals in courts on licensing matters.
  • Advise on all areas of private sector housing, particularly the Housing Act 2004.
  • Advocate effectively on behalf of the Council before courts, tribunals, and other bodies.

Key Skills:

  • Valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX.
  • Specialism within civil and criminal litigation.
  • Experience working within local authorities or public sector organizations.
