Summary: We are seeking an experienced LinuxONE / IBM zSystems Linux Administrator to support enterprise Linux environments on IBM zSystems and LinuxONE platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Linux administration, OpenShift, IBM infrastructure management, and client-facing consulting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploying, administering, and supporting Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE environments.
- Hands-on experience with Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).
- Working with Red Hat OpenShift in enterprise environments.
- Engaging in client-facing roles, including requirements gathering, technical documentation, presentation creation, and executive-level communication.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues with strong problem determination and debugging skills.
- Performing Linux system administration tasks including installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, storage management, and network administration.
- Working with IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC).
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Linux administration on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE.
- 5+ years of experience with Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES).
- 5+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- 5+ years of experience in client-facing roles.
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting technical issues.
