Summary: The Linux Support Engineer role involves providing hands-on support for a modern infrastructure environment, focusing on Linux administration, containerized platforms, and scripting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day Linux administration across RHEL/Ubuntu environments (configuration, patching, troubleshooting)
- Work extensively from the command line (terminal) to manage and maintain systems
- Troubleshoot Linux issues including performance, permissions, services, and logs
- Support and maintain Docker containerized environments, including deployments and basic troubleshooting
- Execute and adapt Bash scripts for routine system tasks, automation, and fixes
- Follow and apply technical playbooks and SOPs to resolve incidents and service requests
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts, ensuring platform stability
- Support infrastructure changes and deployments in line with defined processes
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu or similar)
- Confidence working daily in the Linux terminal/command line
- Practical experience supporting Docker or containerized environments
- Solid Scripting knowledge (Bash essential, Python beneficial)
- Experience troubleshooting Linux systems (logs, services, permissions, networking basics)
- Ability to follow playbooks and structured procedures accurately
- Good understanding of core infrastructure concepts (OS, networking basics, system monitoring)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

We are seeking a hands-on Linux Support Engineer to support a modern infrastructure environment with a strong focus on Linux admin istration, containerised platforms, and Scripting. This is an excellent opportunity for a Linux Support Engineer who is comfortable working from the command line and supporting container-based services in a structured, playbook-driven environment.
Your responsibilities as the Linux Support Engineer:
