Linux on Z/LinuxONE resource

Summary: We are seeking a LinuxONE Resource for a 1-year remote contract with a major global client. The role requires extensive experience in deploying and administering Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE, along with strong client-facing communication skills. The ideal candidate will also possess project management capabilities and consultative knowledge of Linux technologies. This position is focused on architecting and implementing Linux migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and administer Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE.
• Work with Redhat, Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux distributions.
• Utilize Redhat OpenShift in project implementations.
• Engage in client-facing communications, requirements analysis, and documentation.
• Create presentations and present to client staff at an executive level.
• Administer Linux systems including installation, maintenance, storage, and networking.
• Help architect and implement Linux migration solutions.
• Size and scope services engagements.

Key Skills:

• 7+ years' experience deploying and/or administering Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE.
• 5+ years' experience with Redhat, Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux distributions.
• 5+ years' experience with Redhat OpenShift.
• 5+ years' experience in client-facing communications and requirements analysis.
• Strong problem determination and debugging skills.
• Expert consultative knowledge on Linux on zSystems/LinuxONE technologies.
