Linux on Z/LinuxONE Consultant (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is looking for a Linux on Z/LinuxONE Consultant. This position is remote and is scheduled for a year in duration with the possibility of extension.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of experience deploying and/or administering Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE
* 5+ years of experience working with Redhat, Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux distributions
* 5+ years of experience working with Redhat OpenShift
* 5+ years of experience in client-facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, creating presentations, presenting to client staff, and speaking at an executive level
* 5+ years of experience working with clients that demonstrate Strong problem determination and debugging skills
* 5+ years of experience administering Linux system including installation, maintenance, storage, and networking aspects
* Candidate will be required to help architect and implement Linux migration solutions

Preferred Skills:
* Expert consultative knowledge on a wide array of Linux on zSystems/LinuxONE based technologies
* Leading technical teams
* Execute role with strong negotiating skills and demonstrated problem solving
* Execute role with strong project management skills
* Size and scope services engagements
* Ability to interact with and present to client's Executive management
* Ability to interact with and feedback to IBM development organizations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
