Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Linux System Administrator to manage and support Linux-based systems and servers across development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration, system monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting in a dynamic enterprise setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and patch management.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and security alerts; resolve issues proactively.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication (LDAP, Active Directory, etc.).
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-related issues in Linux environments.
- Support and maintain shell scripts for automation of routine tasks.
- Assist with backup and recovery procedures; ensure system uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to support overall infrastructure.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Solid understanding of Linux system internals, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and services (Apache, NGINX, SSH, etc.).
- Experience with tools like Ansible, Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus is a plus.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is beneficial.
- Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Perl).
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
