Summary: The Linux Admin role is a remote position requiring a candidate with extensive experience in Linux operating systems and systems administration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of RHEL-based environments and be proficient in troubleshooting and scripting. Prior application support experience is preferred, along with familiarity with middleware and Apache.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot RHEL-based Linux server environments.
  • Manage cron jobs, bash/korn scripting, and certificate management (SSL).
  • Handle SFTP, LDAP, network, disk space, and application health maintenance.
  • Perform password resets, manage configuration files, permissions, ownership, and access rights.
  • Read and analyze comprehensive application logs.
  • Support middleware and Apache as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7-8 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of RHEL-based environments.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix/AIX administration.

Bachelor s Degree with a minimum of 7-8 years of hands-on experience and general knowledge of Linux operating systems concepts as well as systems administration experience
Strong Technical Knowledge of Rhel based Linux Server environments to provisions, configure, maintain and troubleshoot (Fedora, Centos etc. Rhel 7) for Pre-Production and Production Environments.
Linux/Unix/AIX Administration Experience: Cron jobs, bash/korn scripting, Certificate Management (SSL), SFTP, LDAP, Network, Disk Space, Maintaining Application Health, Password Resets, Configuration Files, Permissions, Ownership and Access Rights, and service account management.
Proficient in troubleshooting abilities and must be able to read comprehensive application logs with strong bash/korn scripting knowledge.
Middleware and Apache Knowledge is a plus.
Prior Application Support experience is preferred.
