Compensation: $19 – $65 per hour

We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a LibreCAD Expert to deliver high-quality 2D technical drafting projects. This role is ideal for experienced CAD professionals who can manage complete drafting workflows from concept development to export-ready manufacturing files.

Role Overview

You will lead end-to-end 2D drafting projects using LibreCAD, ensuring precision, clarity, and compliance with manufacturing or CNC requirements. The role involves documenting workflows and collaborating with technical stakeholders to maintain consistent drafting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute complete 2D drafting projects in LibreCAD from concept through final export
• Configure drawing units, layers, line weights, and blocks for optimal clarity and structure
• Apply precise geometry creation using snaps, constraints, and drafting best practices
• Produce technical dimensioning, annotation, and detailing aligned with manufacturing or CNC specifications
• Prepare and export files (e.g., DXF) for downstream CAD/CAM workflows
• Clearly document drafting decisions and workflow logic
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverable quality and consistency

Required Qualifications

• Advanced hands-on experience with LibreCAD in professional 2D drafting environments
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable 2D CAD platforms
• Solid understanding of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) workflows
• Experience delivering complete, production-ready technical drawing sets
• Ability to communicate drafting logic and technical reasoning clearly
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to drafting accuracy
• Comfortable working independently in a remote contract setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience training or mentoring in CAD/CAM disciplines
• Background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with CNC preparation and fabrication documentation standards
• Active participation in CAD-related technical communities
