LibreCAD Drafter – 2D Technical Drawings

Summary: The LibreCAD Expert role involves leading 2D drafting projects using LibreCAD, ensuring high-quality technical drawings are produced from concept to export. The position requires collaboration with teams and effective communication of drafting decisions to support AI training initiatives. The expert will also manage layers, blocks, and dimensioning to meet manufacturing standards. This is a contract position with flexible hours, allowing for a commitment of 10-40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead comprehensive 2D drafting projects in LibreCAD from concept to export-ready technical drawings.
• Demonstrate complete drafting workflows, including geometry creation, snaps, constraints, and layer organization.
• Configure drawing units, manage layers and blocks for clarity and consistency.
• Apply accurate dimensioning, annotation, and detailing aligned with manufacturing or CNC requirements.
• Prepare and export files (e.g., DXF) for downstream CAM and manufacturing workflows.
• Clearly communicate drafting decisions and professional reasoning to support AI training initiatives.
• Collaborate with teams, providing structured written and verbal insights into 2D CAD best practices.
