Summary: We are seeking a Level Designer to join Pretty Cool Games, an indie studio, on a remote freelance basis for one month, with the potential for extension. The role involves creating engaging gameplay and puzzles, designing levels, and collaborating with the Tech Lead to enhance gameplay mechanics. Candidates should have prior experience in level and puzzle design, particularly in shipped PC or console games, and be proficient in Unity. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a creative and friendly team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating fun, engaging, and thought-provoking gameplay and puzzles.
- Designing and developing levels to ensure varied and paced flow.
- Collaborating with the Tech Lead to improve mechanics and gameplay feel.
- Contributing ideas and feedback to enhance player experience.
Key Skills:
- Prior Level and Puzzle Design experience on at least 1 shipped PC or Console game.
- Hands-on in-engine implementation skills in Unity.
- Passion and knowledge of physics-based games or platformers.
- Experience with Git.
- Preferably some C# scripting skills.
- Experience developing co-operative games is a plus.

We are Pretty Cool Games, an indie studio developing our first project. We’re looking for a Level Designer to join us remotely for 1 month on a Freelance basis (with a possibility to extend to 2 months) to help develop our prototype.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating fun, engaging and thought-provoking gameplay & puzzles.
- Designing and developing a level ensuring the flow feels paced and varied.
- Collaborating with the Tech Lead to improve the feel of mechanics & gameplay.
- Contributing ideas and feedback to help us develop a great player experience.
You have:
- Prior Level and Puzzle Design experience, on at least 1 shipped PC or Console game.
- Hands-on in-engine implementation skills, with the knowledge and confidence to work independently in Unity.
- Developed, or have a great passion and knowledge of either physics-based games / platformers.
- Worked with Git before.
- Preferably some C# scripting skills.
- Experience developing co-operative games is a plus.
