Summary: This role is for a fully remote Legal Document Production Technician at an international law firm, requiring night shift work. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive and professional support in audio/digital dictation typing, copy typing, and amending/formatting legal documents.
  • Produce comparison documentation and perform Word/PDF conversion and manipulation.
  • Prepare diagrams, slides, spreadsheets, and handle other ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of typing, layout, and consistency of format while adhering to corporate standards and service SLAs.
  • Format documents for print, understand pagination, and manage handwritten amendments and corrupt PDF files.
  • Create and adapt visual elements such as charts, maps, and imagery while maintaining brand identity best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Previous advanced legal document production experience.
  • Strong typing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, including styles, cross-referencing, and tracked changes.
  • Ability to write clear business correspondence.
  • Experience with PDF conversion software and visual document preparation.

My client is an international Law Firm. An opportunity has arisen for a fully remote Legal Document Production Technician support the wider offices as part of a larger team. This role will entail working a night shift and is fully remote. T his role is an immediate start 6 to 8 months fixed term initially. Applicants WITHOUT Legal Document Production experience within a legal environment will not be successful in their applications.

To provide home based proactive and professional support including audio/digital dictation typing, copy typing, amending/formatting large and complex legal documents, producing comparison documentation, Word/PDF conversion and manipulation plus the preparation of diagrams, slides, spreadsheets other ad hoc requests as required. This role will mainly support the Real Estate teams across the business.

This role calls for Legal Document Production experience for advanced layout /creative skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and PDF conversion software to allow the in pre-set MS Word and PowerPoint templates. In addition to following template specifications for layout, you will create, format and adapt charts, maps, photographs and other graphic elements in readiness for highly visual.

The role will entail and is not limited to: taking responsibility for producing, checking own work for accuracy of typing, layout, consistency of format and quality and returning documents in accordance with corporate standards and service SLAs. Formatting documents for print - understand pagination and document page setup required for in-house, digital and litho printing methods. Dealing with handwritten amendments and conversion from PDF to House Style. Dealing with corrupt PDF files Redline & Strikeout, track changes and amendments Creating, amend and adapt, maps, graphs, charts, tables, imagery and lawyer photography and, with guidance from the Brand and Comms team, maintain and promote visual identity best practice.
