Legal Discovery & Messaging Engineer - M365/Exchange/Mimecast
We are recruiting a Legal Discovery & Messaging Engineer for a 6-month contract with a major global professional services organisation.
This is a fully remote UK role combining Microsoft messaging support with email Discovery and litigation-hold work, with the workload expected to be approximately 50/50 depending on projects and operational demand.
You will work within a global enterprise IT environment, supporting an experienced Discovery specialist while also handling Microsoft messaging and wider technical support activities.
Essential experience:
- Strong Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online experience
- Strong Microsoft 365/Office 365 knowledge
- Hands-on Mimecast experience - essential
- Essential Experience supporting eDiscovery, email Discovery and/or litigation/legal hold requests
- PowerShell experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently without requiring close supervision
Desirable experience:
- Active Directory/Group Policy
- Windows Server
- DNS/DHCP
- Azure/Entra
- Relativity eDiscovery
- Hybrid Exchange environments
- Agile and/or ITIL
The role will involve supporting legal Discovery and litigation-hold requests, Mimecast and email archiving activities, Exchange/M365 support, troubleshooting, incidents and technical project work.
You'll be joining a global environment where accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to follow established legal and technical processes are essential.
Contract:: 6 months
Rate:: Up to £350- 450 per day
IR35:: Inside IR35
Location:: Fully remote - UK
Hours:: 9:00am-5:30pm core hours with flexibility
Target start:: By 19 October or ASAP
Candidates must be UK-based and able to work the assignment without sponsorship.
