Summary: The role of Legal Counsel involves providing comprehensive legal support for a tech firm on a 2-month contract basis, fully remote. The position requires collaboration with sales and clients for contract management, negotiation support, and risk documentation. The candidate will also prepare and analyze various contractual documents while ensuring compliance with legal standards and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales personnel and client representatives to provide daily contract management support and clarify delivery expectations
  • Support reporting processes, document business and contractual risks, and follow through with appropriate stakeholders to ensure action item completion
  • Escalate matters to leadership and ensure timely communication to all impacted parties
  • Maintain fundamental understanding of product and service portfolio and related commercial implications
  • Prepare and analyze various contractual documents (including SAAS agreements, work statements, change orders, arrangement letters, subcontracts, and NDAs) while coordinating with other internal departments
  • Provide support during negotiations and where necessary lead in negotiations
  • Efficiently manage numerous concurrent projects with varying priorities
  • Provide high quality legal support across other areas of the business as necessary, in particular in relation to corporate support and data protection issues

Key Skills:

  • Admitted as a solicitor
  • Approximately 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial contract law
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical legal analysis and contract management
  • Proven ability to conduct successful negotiations
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Superior relationship-building capabilities with a track record of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Preferably some experience in coordinating with external legal counsel
  • Desirable additional experience in data protection, general corporate matters, and/or intellectual property law
