N2O is looking to recruit an in house Legal Counsel to provide legal advice, guidance, and support on a range of legal matters to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts. The primary focus of the role will be managing and negotiating commercial contracts, resolving legal issues, and mitigating risks. Reporting to the CEO, you will collaborate with various departments and potentially external counsel.This is a part time (24 to 32 hours per week), fully remote role with occasional requirement to attend the Maidenhead Head office. Initially we are looking for this to be a 12 month fixed month contract with potential to grow and develop into a permanent role.Key Accountabilities include:Legal Advisory:Provide legal advice to senior management and different departments on a variety of legal issues, including corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory complianceContract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal agreements, ensuring that the company's interests are protectedManage and update contract templates and ensure compliance with contractual obligationsRegulatory Compliance:Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations and advise on necessary actions to ensure complianceDevelop and implement internal policies to minimize legal risks and ensure adherence to legal standardsLitigation Management:Oversee and manage litigation, disputes, and investigations involving the company, including working with external counsel and representing the Company in litigation. Corporate Governance:Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and best practicesRisk Management:Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate themRequirementsLaw degree from a recognized university Strong grasp of English commercial law Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal departmentStrong knowledge and understanding of commercial contract law, intellectual property and data protectionExperience in drafting and negotiating commercial contractsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detailAbility to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholdersAbility to work independently and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projectsHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conductStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersExperience in the marketing or advertising industry would be advantage Experience working client side would be advantageFluency in English, both written and verbalUK based and willing to travel to Maidenhead Head Office on an adhoc basis.
