Summary: The role of Interim Junior Legal Counsel involves joining a global life sciences organization on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of client and supplier agreements
- Advising on commercial legal matters and supporting internal teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Supporting with RFIs, RFPs, NDAs, and corporate governance queries
- Assisting with regulatory issues, including ABPI Code of Practice (or equivalent) and anti-bribery compliance
- Contributing to contract template development and legal process improvements
- Collaborating with the wider legal team on ad hoc projects
Key Skills:
- Qualified solicitor
- Strong commercial contracts experience and sound legal judgement
- Previous in-house experience preferred (open to those coming straight from private practice too)
- A proactive, pragmatic and collaborative approach
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors is a plus, but not essential
