Summary: The Legal Counsel at Environment Bank will collaborate closely with the Head of Legal to manage all legal aspects of the business, focusing on negotiating biodiversity unit sales and commercial contracts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate sales of biodiversity units and nature shares from the nationwide portfolio of habitat banks.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts with larger clients and attend client meetings.
  • Maintain and improve standard sales terms and refine processes in collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Report to the Head of Legal on contract terms and business risks.
  • Provide legal support throughout the sale process and allocation of biodiversity net gain units.
  • Manage the IP portfolio and privacy requirements, including delivering training to the business.
  • Review ad-hoc contracts as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified solicitor or legal executive in England and Wales.
  • 3-5 years of PQE with a robust background in commercial contracts.
  • Strong commercial experience in a business environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
