We are seeking a skilled Legal Business Analyst with a strong background in core Business Analyst skills in financial services including the ability to write Business Requirements Documents and conduct thorough data analysis and mapping. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform comprehensive requirements gathering and deliver important project documentation. Attention will be placed on candidates who exhibit the highlighted essential attributes during the interview process.

We are currently looking for dynamic, resourceful and proficient individuals to join our Legal Practice as a Legal Business Analyst;

Main Responsibilities

As a Legal Business Analyst, your core duties will include:

• Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents.

• Engaging in all aspects of Business Analyst tasks throughout the Project Development lifecycle:

  • Formulating and presenting proposed solutions to business users, potentially using production data for illustrative calculations.

  • Creating testing approaches, test plans, and test cases.

  • Conducting system/integration testing and assisting business users with user acceptance testing.

  • Compiling and presenting test results effectively.

  • Providing input into project/work-stream status reports.

  • Escalating issues and risks to project and line management.

• Supporting Project Managers, business, and Technical teams with Subject Matter Expertise and problem-solving skills.

• Bridging the gap between business and technical teams by articulating problems in non-technical terms.

• Applying strong analytical skills to help identify and resolve issues with evidence-based findings.

• Employing strong technical skills, including performing SQL queries and demonstrating self-reliance in systems analysis, as well as advanced Excel capabilities.

• Delivering clear and concise information to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in writing Business Requirements Documents.

• Strong knowledge in data analysis and mapping.

• Ability to compile functional specifications.

• Experience with SQL and Advanced Excel.

• Effective communication skills to convey complex ideas simply.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in performing system/integration testing.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a legal environment.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies.

• Certifications relevant to business analysis.

Other Details

The position will be remote and targeted towards candidates with a flexible schedule. An understanding of the legal industry will be advantageous in this role.
