Summary: The Learning Management System Administrator is responsible for the management and deployment of learning content within the organization's learning management system and learning experience platform. This role involves providing technical support, managing user access, generating reports, and collaborating with various departments to meet learning and development needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing technical and administrative support and training for LMS functions.
- Manage user roles, securities, and permissions associated with LMS access.
- Support LMS maintenance, troubleshooting, end-user support, and process improvement initiatives.
- Make course assignments and upload training content as needed.
- Run reports and test system updates as required.
- Respond to user requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Manage day-to-day tasks for new learning project requests.
- Build and provide report data based on business user requests.
- Manage vendor-provided content and escalate issues as necessary.
Key Skills:

Job Description / Duties
We are seeking an experienced Learning Systems Administrator to support the ongoing operation of our organization's learning management system and learning experience platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and deploying the learning content, maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP) databases, generating reports on learning completions. The Learning Systems Administrator will work closely with LMS, LXP and HRIS administrators, as well as various departments and stakeholders to ensure that all learning and development needs are met.
Learning Management System Administration
Provide ongoing technical and administrative support and training for LMS functions.
Manage user roles, securities and permissions associated with LMS access.
Provide support for LMS maintenance, troubleshooting, end-user support and process improvement initiatives
Make course assignments as needed
Upload training content as needed
Run reports as needed
Test and validate system updates
User Support
Respond to requests, issues, ad-hoc completions
Provide information and resolution to problems from internal users
Troubleshoot and resolve user issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to learning activities
Identify trends in common occurring issues to identify areas for improvement
Perform root cause analysis to minimize recurring issues
New Learning Project Requests Management
Manage day-to-day list of tasks
Organize work on multiple simultaneous project requests and activities
Identify and discuss new requirements and provide recommendations and best practices
Meet critical deadlines on business user requests
Communicate in a thorough, accurate and timely manner to system and business users.
Reporting
Build and provide report data based on business user requests
Create ad-hoc reports as needed
Vendor Content Management
Manage vendor-provided content (SCORM, video and file formats) in Brightcove and LMS.
Test vendor-provided content
Escalate issues with vendor-developed content
Qualifications
Proven experience in managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP)
Experience with Degreed LXP is highly desirable
Familiarity with various LMS platforms and their functionalities
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of e-learning standards and technologies (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
Proficient in database management and data analysis
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support
Ability to generate and analyse reports on learning completions and other key metrics
Experience with pivot tables or PowerBI preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills working with a global/international audience.
