Summary: The Learning Designer role is a full-time contract position focused on creating high-quality learning solutions for a professional membership organization. The successful candidate will design and develop both digital and face-to-face learning content, collaborating closely with subject matter experts. This position emphasizes structured instructional design and the creation of engaging learning experiences. The contract is for an initial duration of six months and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop learning solutions from initial brief through to final delivery
- Partner with subject matter experts to extract and structure knowledge into coherent learning journeys
- Produce instructional design documentation, including storyboards, concept documents, learning outcomes, and assessments
- Develop digital learning using Articulate Storyline and Rise
- Create original content, ensuring alignment to defined standards and frameworks
- Manage stakeholder engagement, incorporating feedback and refining outputs accordingly
- Support the development of creative, visual and interactive elements to enhance learner engagement
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in end-to-end learning design (eLearning and face-to-face)
- Strong instructional design capability
- Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise
- Proven ability to develop original learning content from scratch
- Experience creating engaging, visual, creative learning
- Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders and SMEs
- Ability to manage feedback cycles and present design concepts confidently
- Experience working within professional, regulated, or B2B learning environments
- Familiarity with aligning content to frameworks, standards, and assessment requirements

We are currently supporting a well-established professional membership organisation in the appointment of an experienced Learning Designer for an initial 6-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality learning solutions within a structured, standards-driven environment.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of learning content, working closely with subject matter experts to translate technical knowledge into engaging and effective learning experiences. This will include both digital and face-to-face learning, with a strong emphasis on structured instructional design and content creation from first principles.
