- Architects and designs end-to-end Salesforce solutions with broad organizational impact.
- Leads technical decision-making for major Salesforce features, integrations, and platform initiatives.
- Breaks down complex CRM requirements into scalable, maintainable Apex, LWC, and flow-based solutions.
- Drives cross-team collaboration and aligns Salesforce solutions with broader business and platform goals.
- Establishes and enforces best practices for Apex development, Lightning Web Components, automated testing, and deployment.
- Designs and maintains integration patterns between Salesforce and external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures).
- Anticipates technical risks (governor limits, data model scalability, org health) and implements mitigation strategies.
- Leads incident response and root cause analysis for critical Salesforce production issues.
- Influences Salesforce roadmap planning through technical insight and feasibility analysis.
- Partners with DevOps/SRE teams to improve Salesforce CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and org observability.
- Implements infrastructure-aware Salesforce design decisions (multi-org strategy, platform event scalability, external object patterns).
- Mentors engineers across multiple levels and contributes to team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
- 7+ years of Salesforce development experience, including ownership of complex CRM solutions across multiple orgs or product lines.
- Expert-level Apex development including triggers, batch classes, queueable jobs, and test frameworks.
- Expert-level Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura component development.
- Strong experience with Salesforce declarative tools including Flows, Process Builder, Approval Processes, and Validation Rules.
- Deep knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud (Community Cloud).
- Experience designing and maintaining Salesforce integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent).
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs, and source-driven development.
- Experience with CI/CD for Salesforce using tools such as Copado, Gearset, or equivalent pipeline automation.
- Proficiency with SOQL, SOSL, and performance optimization techniques (governor limits, query optimization, bulk patterns).
- Experience with Salesforce security model including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Familiarity with Financial Services Cloud or Wealth Management-related Salesforce configurations is a plus.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect certification preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers and establishing Salesforce development standards across teams.
- Strong technical background with .NET, xUnit, Reqnroll, RESTful APIs, and API management solutions such as Apigee.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis, and ElastiCache.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, ELB, ASG, API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, SQS.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, DevOps practices, automation, agile delivery, Scrum, and test-driven development.
