Summary: The Lead Power BI Consultant is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive BI solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. This role involves developing advanced data models, managing data pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define KPIs. The consultant will also lead and mentor a team of data analysts and BI developers, ensuring data governance and compliance. A strong background in BI, data analytics, and team management is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop advanced data models, dashboards, and reports for business insights.
  • Build and manage data pipelines and lakehouses using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and analysis.
  • Create custom business applications using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, operations, and marketing to gather requirements and define KPIs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and BI developers, including remote teams in India, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across solutions.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or related fields.
  • Expert in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, RLS, custom visuals).
  • Proficient in Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Strong SQL skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Synapse, Notebooks).
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including remote teams.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry is a plus.
