Summary: The role of Network Practice Lead involves leading the development of resilient and scalable networking solutions for a UK-based IT solutions provider during a period of growth. The candidate will engage with clients to shape new service offerings while leveraging extensive experience in managed service or value-added reseller environments. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and commercial awareness, with a focus on customer-centric solutions. The role is primarily remote but requires occasional travel to client sites or offices in Wokingham or Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement modern product offerings and go-to-market strategies for networking solutions.
  • Lead initial engagements with key clients to scale the networking practice.
  • Drive the development of WAN and LAN networking technologies and new service propositions.
  • Build and manage client Internetwork Strategy Roadmaps, integrating multiple business propositions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-Suite and Board members.
  • Manage multiple large-scale network delivery projects and third-party vendors.
  • Deliver customer-centric, outcome-based solutions in line with business strategies.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of major networking vendors (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, HPE Aruba, NVIDIA).
  • Recent experience in a small to mid-size VAR or MSP environment.
  • Technical expertise in virtualized network functions and cloud network virtual appliances.
  • Hands-on ability to build networking environments with security best practices and infrastructure as code.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale network projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of security and connectivity concepts, particularly in Hybrid Cloud delivery.
  • Experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and business alignment.
