Summary: The Lead Mobile Developer will oversee the engineering of consumer mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, focusing on design, development, and continuous improvement. This role involves mentoring other developers, setting engineering standards, and leading technical advancements within the digital banking team. The position is primarily remote, with the option to work from Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mobile development and a passion for delivering quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for consumer mobile application engineering (iOS/Android), including design, development, app store deployment, and performance enhancements.
  • Assist and oversee mobile engineering efforts across the digital banking team organized into squads.
  • Be an active member of the Platform Squad, setting standards for mobile engineering practices and providing technical leadership.
  • Lead the technical advancement of consumer banking mobile applications through roadmap creation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mobile design, development, and deployment leadership and expertise.
  • Responsible for performance tuning and troubleshooting of mobile applications.
  • Embrace and contribute to established software application standards and best practices.
  • Report status and work progress to tribe and platform lead as requested.
  • Assist and mentor other developers in software development best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Science or equivalent.
  • Passion for delivering quality software and experience in mentoring senior developers.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in iOS and/or Android native mobile development.
  • Experience in building iOS apps using Objective-C and/or Android apps using Android Studio/Java.

Responsibilities:

1. Assume responsibility for our consumer mobile application engineering (iOS/Android), which includes design & development, app store deployment, instrumentation, performance enhancements, roadmap planning, and continuous improvement of the mobile platform.

2. Assist and oversee mobile engineering efforts across our digital banking team (our digital teams are organized into ?squads? with 3-4 engineers on each).

3. Be an active member of our Platform Squad, where you will help set the standards for mobile engineering practices across the digital team, along with providing technical leadership in designing solutions, mentoring other developers, providing code and design reviews.
