Summary: The Lead Mainframe Developer role is a remote position focused on leveraging strong hands-on experience with IMS and DB2, as well as exposure to Java or .NET for legacy code migration. The candidate will be expected to have a solid background in mainframe development, particularly within government or healthcare sectors, and will engage in application migration and legacy modernization projects. Excellent client-facing and communication skills are essential for fostering long-term client relationships and presenting technical solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong hands-on experience with IMS and DB2.
- Engage in migration of legacy code using Java or .NET.
- Participate in application migration and legacy modernization projects.
- Work with IBM Mainframe or Cloud architectures, including print, securities, and scheduling solutions.
- Implement data migration strategies with a focus on IMS and DB2.
- Address complex data performance issues on mainframe and cloud platforms.

- Present in-depth technical solutions effectively.
- Motivate and energize project teams to exceed customer and project goals.
