Summary: The Lead Frontend Developer role involves joining a Central Government client to enhance user-facing digital services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement modern Front End architectures utilising JavaScript (ReactJS, Node.js) and related technical standards.
  • Present Front End designs, templating strategies, and technical decisions to governance forums for approval.
  • Communicate and justify complex technical UI/UX and architectural decisions to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Assure the quality of Front End systems, ensuring robust CI/CD pipeline integration and compliance with accessibility guidelines.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior and mid-weight developers within the delivery team.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record as a Lead Frontend Developer, operating within a public sector or government environment.
  • Deep experience in core Front End technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js.
  • Solid service assurance and CI/CD capability, with hands-on experience managing technical quality via Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a demonstrable ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including full-stack and Back End.
  • Practical knowledge or experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (desirable).
