Lead Event Monitoring Engineer

Summary: CareFirst is looking for a Lead Event Monitoring Engineer to join its Technology Operations Center (TOC) for monitoring critical infrastructure and applications. The role involves using Dynatrace for event management and requires shift work, including weekends and off-hours. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor events and incidents related to critical infrastructure, applications, and daily operational systems.
• Utilize Dynatrace for monitoring and event management.
• Perform shift work, including weekends and off-hours support.
• Engage in automation scripting using PowerShell, Ruby, or Perl.
• Maintain knowledge of system and network infrastructures.

Key Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in a Command Center, Technology Operations Center, or Network Operations Center environment.
• 3+ years of experience in event/incident monitoring using Dynatrace.
• 3+ years of automation scripting experience using PowerShell, Ruby, or Perl.
• Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, server virtualization, enterprise SAN, backup solutions, and database technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of overall IT experience in lieu of a degree.
