Summary: The Lead Data Engineer - Palantir Foundry role involves leading data engineering initiatives within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem, focusing on data pipeline efficiency and integration of diverse data types. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize data structures and implement data governance practices. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and driving performance optimization for large-scale data processing. This is a contract position that allows for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop Palantir Foundry-based data engineering solutions, including Foundry Ontology, Data Pipelines, Code Workbooks, and Action Graphs.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of ETL workflows to ensure high data availability and accuracy.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define data models, optimize data structures, and ensure seamless data governance practices.
  • Implement data visualization using Foundry Reports & Workshop to support Business Intelligence needs.
  • Conduct data analysis and anomaly detection using statistical models (eg, Benford's Law) within the Foundry platform.
  • Drive performance optimization for large-scale financial and enterprise data processing.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior data engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define key data strategies, business KPIs, and actionable insights.

Key Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Palantir Foundry, including Foundry Contour, Code Repositories, Object Storage, and Data Pipelines.
  • Proven experience in data modelling, transformation, and integration within enterprise domains.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL for data processing.
  • Proficiency in Tableau and other BI tools for data visualization.
  • Strong experience in data governance, compliance, and security protocols.
  • Background in healthcare domains is a plus.
  • Agile methodology experience, including Sprint Planning & Daily Stand-ups.
  • Foundry Foundations & Palantir Data Engineer (Associate Level) certification is highly preferred.
