Summary: The Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR) will be responsible for consolidating fragmented historical Excel spreadsheets and outputs from a newly centralized global payroll platform into a secure source of truth for finance and HR teams. This role involves leading various project phases, including discovery, data modeling, system integration, reporting framework development, and automation. The consultant will work remotely and is expected to have significant experience in payroll system integration and data analytics. The position is offered for a duration of 8-12 weeks with a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit legacy multi-currency spreadsheet models, data flows, and manual validation workflows to identify automation gaps and data risks.
  • Architect a standardized data model linking employee-level costs, payroll components, and budget vs. actual forecasts.
  • Define and map the integration approach between historical Excel data sets and the new centralized payroll system.
  • Build secure, flexible dashboards capable of deep-dive variance analysis, payroll reconciliation, and multi-region Total Cost of Employment (TCE) reporting.
  • Implement automated data refresh processes, design standardized upload templates, and deliver comprehensive system documentation.

Key Skills:

  • Direct experience extracting, mapping, and consolidating data from modern global HR/payroll systems (e.g., Deel, Workday, or equivalent platforms).
  • Power BI for dashboard delivery and secure workspace sharing.
  • Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX) for extracting and transforming complex legacy spreadsheet logic.

Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR)

Location: Remote (UK based applicants)

Duration: 8-12 Weeks

Rate: £450 - £500 per day (Outside IR35)

The primary objective is to consolidate fragmented historical Excel spreadsheets and outputs from my clients newly centralised global payroll platform into a single, secure source of truth for the CFO, Finance, and HR teams.

Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR) will lead the deployment of the following project phases:
