Summary: The Lead Business Analyst (Specialist) role at Maddisoft is a specialist-level position requiring extensive knowledge in business analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of a requirements documentation project plan
- Coordinate all project activities related to reviewing existing systems and documentation
- Translate current system functionality into clear, usable business and system requirements
- Gather, analyze, and document business needs and system requirements
- Perform gap analysis between existing system documentation and regulatory, program, and operational requirements
- Apply project management methodologies to plan, track, and manage requirements activities
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of requirements documentation
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to assigned team members
- Lead analysis of complex technical and business processes
- Prioritize business and system needs in collaboration with stakeholders
- Coordinate requirements gathering with technical and non-technical subject matter experts
- Obtain stakeholder review, validation, and sign-off on requirements and priorities
- Identify, manage, escalate, and document project risks and issues
- Monitor progress against milestones and report status to leadership
- Collaborate daily with team members to proactively address issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of business analysis experience, including requirements elicitation and documentation
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks
- Extensive experience with large-scale IT operations and industry trends
- Proven ability to define functional, non-functional, and technical requirements
- Expertise in producing clear, complete, and actionable requirements documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to negotiate across multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts

- Strong requirements elicitation techniques, including analysis of existing systems
- Bachelor s degree in business, communications, computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Experience gathering management information system requirements in large organizations
- Experience creating solicitation or contract requirements
- Professional certification such as PMI-PBA or IIBA CBAP (preferred)
