Lead Azure Platform Engineer

Summary: The Lead Azure Platform Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the API Platform, ensuring compliance with standards and governance. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and set technical standards for API development. The position is fully remote and requires expertise in Azure and Apigee technologies. The contract is for an initial period of six months and falls inside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the API Platform design, development, and maintenance.
• Conduct reviews of API designs to ensure alignment with standards and governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements.
• Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and performs to meet current and future needs.
• Set technical standards and best practices for API development.
• Work with delivery leads and product owners to plan, schedule, and refine technical work.
• Design, implement, and operate Google Apigee in a technology lead role.
• Utilize programming languages, particularly Python or Javascript.
• Work with Azure cloud architecture, specifically Pipelines.
• Manage the Enterprise API Platform, preferably Apigee.

Key Skills:

Salary (Rate): £625 Daily
