Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated quality validation across all products, services, EDI workflows, and production-aligned environments.
- Create, maintain, and improve automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or comparable testing frameworks.
- Perform manual testing for Agile user stories and verify that acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and expected results are met.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, API, file-processing, and output-comparison testing accurately and reliably.
- Develop automated regression and comparison tests, including validation of 837 transaction output against approved baselines and expected changes.
- Navigate and validate multiple testing environments, including development, pre-QA, QA, post-QA, and production-aligned environments.
- Create SQL queries to prepare test data, validate database state, compare results, and verify expected outcomes.
- Track tested issues, defects, test evidence, and results accurately in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Suggest software improvements and corrections based on test results, recurring defects, and production findings.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Development, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and business stakeholders to meet delivery and quality goals.
- Integrate automated tests, linters, configuration checks, and quality gates into Azure DevOps and Git-based CI/CD pipelines to support earlier defect detection and controlled release promotion.
- Support release validation, pipeline approvals, defect investigation, promotion controls, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement to strengthen production readiness.
- Maintain automated test procedures, test coverage, operational runbooks, and auditable release-quality documentation.
Required Skills
- Functional, regression, integration, smoke, API, file-processing, and output-comparison testing across manual and automated workflows.
- Selenium, Appium, or similar automated testing frameworks.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, with C# preferred.
- Agile user-story testing, acceptance-criteria validation, and accurate test execution.
- Microsoft Azure DevOps, including test plans, test cases, defect tracking, pipelines, and release controls; TFS experience is helpful where legacy workflows remain in use.
- SQL query development for test-data setup, data comparison, database validation, and verification of test results.
- Ability to work across multiple application and testing environments.
- Git-based development workflows, pull requests, branch controls, and GitHub Actions or equivalent pipeline automation.
- CI/CD quality gates, release validation, test-result reporting, and automated promotion controls.
- Policy as Code, linters, configuration testing, and automated compliance validation.
- Defect troubleshooting, technical documentation, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing healthcare EDI transactions, particularly 837 claim files and downstream clearinghouse output.
- Experience building baseline-versus-modified pipeline comparison harnesses for production-equivalent test inputs.
- Experience validating reference-data changes through automated snapshots and comparison scripts.
- Experience supporting large-scale production SaaS environments with formal change management and release governance.
- Experience producing auditable quality evidence for compliance-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success improving release confidence, increasing test repeatability, and reducing escaped defects through automation and earlier validation.
