A leading financial services organisation is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AI & Automation Manager to drive the automation of business functions across its global operations. This is a fully remote, 12-month contract opportunity operating outside IR35 , ideal for a technical AI leader who will take ownership of end-to-end automation initiatives, from initial ideation through to design, build, testing, and production release. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power BI and Power Automate , with strong solution architecture capabilities and the confidence to engage directly with senior business stakeholders. The role will focus on identifying automation opportunities, designing and deploying scalable automation solutions, optimising existing processes for performance and reliability, and ensuring best practices across coding, documentation, security, and compliance. You will collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and technical teams, facilitate workshops to translate business requirements into technical solutions, mentor junior developers, and stay at the forefront of emerging RPA and AI technologies to continuously enhance automation capabilities. Applicants should hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least three years’ hands-on experience working with Automation Anywhere, including complex workflow development and API integrations. Strong experience across Microsoft Power Platform is essential, particularly building and optimising Power Automate flows and leveraging Power BI for reporting and insights. Candidates should possess strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript, alongside proven experience in document automation technologies including OCR and intelligent data extraction. A solution architecture mindset, experience working within Agile environments, and familiarity with tools such as Git, Visual Studio/VS Code, and SQL databases are required. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as modern web frameworks, would be advantageous. Previous experience within financial services or other regulated environments is highly desirable, along with excellent documentation and communication skills in English.
