Summary: The role of Lab Technician involves supporting and maintaining physical lab infrastructure, including test equipment and networking setups. The technician will assist remote teams with local test infrastructure and manage calibration and compliance testing schedules. Additionally, the position requires maintaining an accurate inventory of lab assets and supporting the engineering team with test systems. This is a contract role with an initial duration of four months and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain physical lab infrastructure, including lab racking, cabling, ESD bonding, and test equipment.
• Provide local assistance with test infrastructure to remote-based teams.
• Coordinate the calibration schedule of specialist test equipment.
• Coordinate PAT and compliance testing of all electrical equipment.
• Curation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of lab equipment assets.
• Support the engineering team with the creation and maintenance of test systems, including physical setup and provisioning of client machines.
• Manage networking equipment such as managed switches and routers.
• Handle devices under test and specialist test equipment.
• Possess a basic understanding of IP networking, including LAN and WAN.
• Utilize working experience of Linux, which is highly advantageous.
