Summary: The L4 ACI Engineering position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions focused on Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). The role requires extensive expertise in ACI, including deployment and integration with existing network infrastructures. The engineer will also provide training and support to clients and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration. This is a remote position for a contract duration of 6 to 8 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setup and installation of technical systems, applications, or process designs for client’s purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions.
- Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution.
- Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.
- May work directly with clients on-site or provide installation support remotely.
- Design and deploy ACI fabrics, including leaf and spine architecture, APIC controllers, and integration with existing network infrastructure.
- Develop and implement network policies using ACI's policy model, including tenants, application profiles, endpoint groups (EPGs), bridge domains, and contracts.
- Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components such as routers, switches, and cables.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to ACI and other network components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ACI with other IT systems and applications.
- Provide training and support to network engineers and administrators on ACI best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons for network-related projects.
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining security measures within the ACI environment.

Key Skills:
- Broad expertise in network engineering and ACI.
- Extensive related experience with a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree; or extensive experience and a Master’s or equivalent degree; or a PhD or equivalent with moderate experience; or equivalent experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco ACI, including APIC controllers, leaf and spine architecture, and ACI policy model.
- Experience with network protocols and technologies such as IP, VLAN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

The Level 4 Network Engineer/Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions with a focus on Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). This role requires deep expertise in ACI, including the ability to design and deploy ACI fabrics, integrate ACI with existing network infrastructures, and optimize ACI for performance and scalability
