Summary: The KPI Report Developer (Power BI) role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting solutions within a complex environment. The position requires collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure deliverables provide measurable business value. The successful candidate will also contribute to the standardization and improvement of KPI reporting frameworks. This is a contract position starting in September 2026 for a duration of 12 months, with a focus on delivering impactful reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain integrated Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting solutions.
- Deliver enhancements to existing reporting capabilities and create new dashboards where required.
- Work with stakeholders to capture, refine and document management information requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable technical reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models, measures and calculations using SQL and DAX.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, actionable and aligned to business objectives.
- Produce technical specifications, design documentation and supporting artefacts.
- Collaborate with reporting and development teams to drive standards and best practices.
- Assist in the optimisation and standardisation of KPI reporting across the wider programme.
- Support testing, deployment and ongoing improvement activities.
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial experience developing and deploying solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, with a particular focus on Power BI.
- Experience working with SSAS, SSIS and SSRS.
- Strong SQL development skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, data modelling and data relationships.
- Experience building enterprise-scale dashboards and management information solutions.
- Proven ability to gather requirements and work effectively with business stakeholders.
- Experience producing technical specifications and supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
