Summary: The Knowledge Systems Curator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an internal knowledge base at Jacada Travel, ensuring it is optimised for indexing and usability. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, with remote working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain a well-structured knowledge base within Google Drive.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR guidelines and internal data protection policies.
- Drive best practice usage for the knowledge base across the business.
- Apply defined metadata properties to all relevant files in Google Drive.
- Implement internal linking between related documents to enhance discoverability.
- Audit existing sources of travel knowledge and enrich data as necessary.
- Develop and document processes for adding, updating, and maintaining information.
- Provide training and ongoing support to team members on knowledge base usage.
- Conduct regular audits of the knowledge base for consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, product, and marketing teams to meet information needs.
- Manage multiple projects effectively with all stakeholders.

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Knowledge Systems Curator to join our team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This is an exciting opportunity, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping how those working at Jacada Travel access and utilize the wealth of information available. As our Knowledge Systems Curator, working closely with our regional product managers, sales and client experience management, you’ll help create the strategy, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our internal knowledge base in google drive. Specifically, this knowledge base will need to be optimised for indexing and use with database tools which we are planning to develop and will require a major reorganisation, investigation and enrichment of legacy data. You will also help to establish clear processes for collecting and storing future data, and empower our team to deliver exceptional travel experiences. This role requires a unique blend of meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, communication skills and a proactive approach to information management.
What You’ll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge base architecture & organisation: Design, implement, and maintain a well-structured and easily navigable and indexable knowledge base within Google Drive, adhering to established guidelines and ensuring the structure is optimised for our database to index. Ensure all client-related information adheres to GDPR guidelines and internal data protection policies. Drive best practise usage for the knowledge base with users across the business Apply defined metadata properties to all relevant files in Google Drive, ensuring consistency and accuracy Strategically implement internal linking between related documents within Google Drive to enhance discoverability and context
- Knowledge base development and maintenance: Audit all existing sources of travel knowledge within Jacada Travel, enriching the data where necessary through communication with relevant stakeholders. Refinement to ensure that the data structure best serves any database tools that we use. Working with key management and team members to understand their needs and any additional information structures we should apply or additional data we should capture. Develop and document clear and concise processes for adding, updating, and maintaining information within the knowledge base. Provide training and ongoing support to team members on effectively using the knowledge base structure, file naming conventions, and metadata standards. Conduct regular audits of the knowledge base to ensure consistency, accuracy, and identify areas for improvement
- Collaboration and project management with key stakeholders Collaborate with sales, operations, product, and marketing teams to understand their information needs and ensure the knowledge base effectively serves their requirements Working with external database developers to ensure the information is correctly optimised and structured. Manage multiple, competing projects around the knowledge base effectively with all stakeholders
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in information management, data organisation, or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of proficiency in Google Drive and the Google Workspace suite
- Understanding of information architecture principles and best practices for knowledge management.
- Experience developing and implementing file naming conventions and metadata schemas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly
- Ability to work independently and proactively, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across competing projects
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues
