Summary: The KBM Developer role is a remote position requiring expertise in the KBM Manufacturing System and RPG programming. The candidate will be responsible for software development, system integration, and collaborating with a diverse team. Occasional travel to customer locations may be necessary. A bachelor's degree or significant experience in development is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Education / Experience:
Education: Bachelor s degree as minimum or + 10 years of experience working as developer for KBM
Experience, Knowledge And Skills

  • Proven experience in software development, focusing on KBM Manufacturing System
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and financial principles for manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, RPGle, and CLP languages.
  • Experience with ERP integration.
  • Excellent technical and analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with a diverse/multi-cultural and distributed team.

Competencies evaluation:

  1. Code Review: Evaluate sample code written in RPG Hands-on
  2. Testing: Assign tasks to solve common problems or work on simulated project scenarios (e.g., creating reports)
  3. Scenario-Based Questions: Pose real-world challenges to evaluate problem-solving skills and understanding of both the Infor KBM system and RPG programming.

Infor KBM Expertise:

  • Experience in configuring and customizing Infor KBM to meet business requirements.
  • Understanding of Infor KBM functionality such data integration.
  • Knowledge of specific Infor KBM modules and their interactions with AS400. Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Infor KBM

Proficiency in RPG Programming:

  • Knowledge of RPG IV (ILE RPG) syntax and structures.
  • Understanding of RPG free-format coding.
  • Experience with RPG sub-procedures, modules, and service programs.
  • Familiarity with embedded SQL in RPG.
  • Ability to optimize and debug RPG code effectively.
