Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and optimise enterprise-scale Kafka environments.
- Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
- Support infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Work closely with development teams to improve platform reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps best practices.
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial experience with Apache Kafka administration and support.
- Proven DevOps/Platform Engineering background.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent Linux systems administration skills.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools.

We are looking for an experienced Kafka-focused DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Apache Kafka, cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering who can help design, optimize, and support critical data streaming services at scale.
