Summary: The Junior Technical Project Manager / Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of technology initiatives across multiple teams. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a proactive approach to managing project logistics, resource tracking, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to improving project management standards. This position is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project managers in day-to-day project execution, including scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and maintaining timelines.
- Build and manage detailed project schedules, tracking milestones, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly status reports outlining progress, risks, issues, and upcoming activities.
- Maintain action logs, follow up with owners, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in resource forecasting, budget tracking, and financial updates in Clarity (or similar PPM tools).
- Update project forecasts, actuals, and allocations.
- Ensure data accuracy and generate reports for portfolio reviews.
- Support onboarding processes, SOW/PO tracking, deliverable monitoring, and coordination with vendors.
- Maintain project documentation including minutes, project plans, risks/issues, and project artifacts.
- Facilitate communication among technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Assist in improving project management standards, templates, and tools.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years in project coordination, PMO support, or similar role within technical or digital environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Hands-on experience with PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana).
- Familiarity with portfolio tools such as Clarity.
- Understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and vendor lifecycle management.
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.
