Summary: The Junior Software Tester role involves owning the overall test approach, planning, and execution strategy while leading QA team members and coordinating with external vendors. Key Responsibilities:
- Own the overall test approach, test planning, and test execution strategy
- Lead and coordinate QA team members, testers, and external vendors as needed
- Review requirements and user stories for testability, completeness, and quality risks
- Define test scope, test cases, test data needs, and entry/exit criteria
- Track defects, triage issues, and ensure timely resolution with development teams
- Report testing status, risks, blockers, and readiness to release stakeholders
- Ensure regression, integration, functional, and UAT testing are completed effectively
- Drive test process improvements, automation opportunities, and quality metrics
- Support release readiness and go/no-go decisions
- Maintain testing documentation and ensure auditability where required
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in QA/testing leadership or test coordination
- Deep understanding of testing lifecycle, methodologies, and defect management
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test execution reports
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, qTest, ALM, or similar
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall delivery models
- Working knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
