Junior Power BI (Fabric) Contract - REMOTE!

Summary: We are seeking a Power BI consultant with expertise in Microsoft Fabric to optimize Power BI solutions. The role involves identifying and enhancing inefficient data models, queries, and visualizations while applying best practices in DAX and data modeling. The consultant will also be responsible for optimizing dataset refresh schedules and consolidating workspaces. This position is remote and has a duration of 3 months with potential extensions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify & Optimize Inefficient data models, queries, and visualizations.
• Apply best practices in DAX, data modelling, and query folding to top resource consuming workspaces.
• Optimize dataset refresh schedules and storage modes.
• Implement incremental refresh and aggregations where applicable.
• Identify workspaces sourcing data from the same source and using the same KPI. Engage with report owners to consolidate them.

Key Skills:

• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Proficiency in DAX and data modeling.
• Ability to optimize data models and queries.
