Job Title: Jr Palo Alto Xsiam/Xsoar Engineer

Duration: 6 months initially, with potential for extension
We are looking to add a Remote junior-level Palo Alto XSIAM/XSOAR Security Developer to work directly alongside a senior team member. The XSIAM/XSOAR environment is net-new, there is no legacy XSOAR platform to inherit or migrate from, so this role will be building automation and playbooks from the ground up alongside the existing team, not maintaining or migrating an established environment. This is a growth-oriented role for someone early in their security automation career looking to build hands-on experience under an experienced XSIAM/XSOAR practitioner.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the development of net-new security automation playbooks within Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR
- Work directly alongside Senior leaders to learn and contribute to playbook design, testing, and refinement
- Assist with incident response automation workflows, alert triage logic, and case management configuration within XSIAM
- Support API, webhook, and custom integration work to help ingest data into SIEMs and tune performance
- Collaborate with the broader security engineering team to understand use cases and translate them into automated workflows
- Perform scripting and integration work to support playbook functionality (Python and/or PowerShell)
- Document playbooks, automation logic, and configuration changes for team knowledge sharing
- Take direction from the security team on priorities and day-to-day work; this is a collaborative, team-embedded role rather than an independent project engagement
What We're Looking For
- Some hands-on exposure to Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and/or XSOAR (internship, junior role, training/lab environment, or certification-level exposure acceptable)
- Foundational understanding of SOAR concepts: playbooks, automation, incident/case management, integrations
- Scripting ability in Python and/or PowerShell to support automation and integration tasks
- General security fundamentals: incident response concepts, alert triage, SIEM/SOAR basics
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a senior XSIAM/XSOAR role over time
- Strong communication skills and comfort working closely with a small, collaborative team
- Detail oriented, with good documentation habits
- Junior level overall, but candidate should not require hand-holding on basic technical tasks
