Summary: The Jr Cloud Application Developer role is focused on hands-on development and troubleshooting using technologies such as Python, SQL, and AWS services. Candidates must have or be eligible for security clearance and will work on designing and developing applications using AWS-native technologies. The position emphasizes collaboration across teams and the integration of full-stack solutions, particularly in backend development. Familiarity with application modernization and generative AI tools is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test applications using AWS-native technologies such as: Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda and Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
  • Familiar with application modernization to cloud, future state architectures. Hands on experience using Generative AI tools in software development life cycle, code conversion, reverse engineering
  • Develop data interfaces and work with various types of databases, including both relational and NoSQL
  • Experience with the most common Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, SQS, Lambda, RDS).
  • Write reusable and scalable code in Python to automate application tasks.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate full-stack solutions, with an emphasis on backend development.
  • Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services.

Hands-on Development, Troubleshooting and decision-making in the use of technologies such as Python, SQL, containers and AWS services like Lambda, RDS, API gateways and other relevant tools/frameworks to ensure alignment with the overall architecture and product vision.
