Job Title----AWS/Java Architect--Remote

Summary: The AWS/Java Developer role involves extensive IT experience in software systems development using Java and J2EE technologies, with a focus on AWS services. The position requires expertise in various J2EE technologies and the ability to oversee code reviews while developing services and APIs. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for collaboration within the team. This is a long-term contract position based remotely in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysis, design, development, documentation, implementing and testing of software systems in Java, J2EE technologies.
• Application Development using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies like Waterfall and Agile/Scrum.
• Working with J2EE technologies including Hibernate, Servlets, JNDI, JMS, JDBC, SOAP and Rest based Web services.
• Using Java coding in combination with AWS native services such as Lambda, S3, and Kinesis Stream.
• Implementing Java EE design patterns.
• Overseeing peer code reviews and providing guidance on development.
• Developing/updating Services and APIs using Java technology for current and future projects.
• Exhibiting excellent teamwork, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.

Key Skills:

• Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, EC2, ECS Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Docker.
• REST Webservices development on Java.
• Webservices security (JWT, SSL / TLS, OAuth2.0 or OIDC).
• Kubernetes.
• Kafka.
