Summary: The Azure DevOps Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on Azure. The position emphasizes automation, security practices, and CI/CD pipeline management, requiring collaboration within Agile teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure for production solutions on Azure focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Drive and implement security practices and monitoring according to Optum standards.
- Maintain and automate cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Build, manage, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployments, integrating with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency using Python and other scripting tools.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues, proactively identifying and implementing solutions to enhance pipeline performance.
- Monitor system performance and availability using monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana along with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies and a history of successful collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Solid experience with tools like Terraform, Azure Kubernetes Service, Docker.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub utilizing GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience with Git and branching strategies.
- Expertise with Azure and proven experience implementing Azure Cloud solutions using Terraform within Terraform Enterprise.
- Proficiency in tools like Terraform and Ansible, with proven experience in authoring Terraform and shared Terraform Modules.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with other scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
