Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and coordinate tasks and timelines across multiple cybersecurity-related and IT infrastructure projects.
  • Manage JIRA tasks, Kanban boards, dashboards, macros, and filters ensuring projects are progressing on schedule and accurately reflecting real-time status.
  • Maintain and generate project tracking reports, key performance metrics, and corrective action plans, when necessary.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams acting as the bridge between engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and business units.
  • Support and manage projects involving ServiceNow Security Operations (SIR, Vulnerability Response, and Vendor Risk Management).
  • Collaborate on cloud strategy and assist in managing Azure-based cloud migrations.
  • Understand project interdependencies and draw connections between similar tasks in different projects to avoid redundancy or conflicts.
  • Serve as a deputy to the Team Manager providing status updates, driving coordination meetings, ensuring timely follow-ups, and representing leadership when needed.
  • Keep task tickets up-to-date and provide cohesive project summaries to stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels using both written and verbal communication to break down technical or complex concepts.
  • Monitor and support adherence to project governance involving NIST, CMMC, or CMMI-related compliance guidelines (if applicable).

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or Program Manager in IT or technical project environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with JIRA including board creation, dashboard management, filtering, reporting macros, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Background or exposure to technical environments, ideally supporting cybersecurity, security operations, or infrastructure teams.
  • Experience creating and maintaining accurate project documentation, task logs, timelines, and follow-up actions.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and proactively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience with remote team coordination and asynchronous communication tools (Slack, Teams, Confluence, etc.)

About the Role

The Client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Sr. Project Coordinator to support and coordinate multiple ongoing technical and cybersecurity-related projects. The ideal candidate excels at managing tasks, tracking progress across multiple efforts, and communicating effectively with technical and business teams. This role is 100% remote and requires a candidate who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and a strong collaborator.

While direct technical or cybersecurity expertise is not required, prior experience in managing cybersecurity or technology-focused projects is highly advantageous.

    • Project Management: PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification
