Summary: The role of Freelance Java Developer involves contributing to a long-term programme focused on developing scalable, cloud-native platforms in the Financial Services Payments sector. This fully remote position requires strong Java development skills and occasional travel to Hammersmith or Farnborough for collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach to engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable, cloud-native platforms using Java (Spring Boot, Microservices).
- Utilize AWS services including Java Spark, EMR, Lambda, and native AWS databases.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes and EKS.
- Ensure effective cloud infrastructure and distributed systems management.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver projects end-to-end.
Key Skills:
- Strong Java development experience.
- Proficiency with AWS services.
- Experience with Kubernetes and EKS.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
