Summary: The role is for a Senior Back-End Java Developer specializing in Identity & Access Management (IDAM) for a contract position. The developer will work on a high-profile security-led program, focusing on both new feature delivery and business-as-usual (BAU) support. The position requires strong Java back-end skills and experience with cloud environments, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The role is remote and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and enhancing Java back-end services in a modern cloud environment
  • Delivering change through Jira tickets in an Agile squad
  • Working on IDAM integrations (SSO/authentication/authorisation)
  • Supporting BAU and incident resolution as part of the team’s run responsibilities
  • Contributing to CI/CD and deployment improvements (DevOps-aligned delivery)

Key Skills:

  • Strong Java back-end experience (Spring Boot / modern frameworks)
  • IDAM/IAM platform experience (examples: ForgeRock, Okta, Azure AD, Auth0, One Identity, Keycloak, Ping)
  • OAuth2 / OIDC / SAML and secure API patterns
  • Jenkins and modern CI/CD practices
  • Kubernetes exposure (AKS ideal) and cloud-native delivery
  • Comfortable working in an Agile team and owning work end-to-end
  • Nice to have: Terraform / Ansible, broader Azure experience (beyond AKS), some front-end exposure (not essential)

Senior Back-End Java Developer (IDAM) – Contract (Inside IR35) – £525/day – Remote (UK)

We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Java Developer with clear IDAM/Identity & Access Management experience to join a delivery squad working on a high-profile, security-led programme. This role blends new feature delivery with BAU / incident support, and supports an IDAM transformation with a move towards Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
